Default Does my tank require a frame?

Hi folks,

I am currently building a 24x24x48 inch (length, width, height) glass tank made of quarter inch (6 mm) glass. I don't plan on putting much water in it, I want it to be part land part water, with maybe 10 gallons of water maximum in the bottom.

I am unsure what to do when it comes to frames and bracing however. I am not sure if silicone would be enough to hold the tank together as it is rather tall, although I used an aquarium safety calculator (Aquarium Safety Calculator.xls.xlsx) with my given dimensions and it said that it would be safe even if it was filled with water.

So my question is should I build a wooden frame or a frame of some material?
I cannot find any website that sells frames that will fit a 24x24 inch tank.

If anyone knows anything regarding this subject, or has any advice, it would greatly be appreciated because I really want to get my tank on the go!

Scs1200 silicone. Thats pretty tall. Make sure to figure out lighting requirements and cost before the build. I just built the same tank on its side out of the same thickness glass. Its important to make sure the base is on a stable flat surface.
