Default Azurel's Cemetery/ Gold Dust Bastimentos

I have had these for awhile and started to get calling from one of them. So I finally decided to separate them in to 2 pairs hoping I could fine which one it is making the calls....Bastimentos have been one of my favorite frogs from the start and have been so excited to have them in my collection. None of these are actual pairs or sexed pairs yet....

Pair #1 I am thinking the red one in this group might be a female?...Not sure.

Pair#2

from the pics looks like 3.1 but they are young , feed them a ton, when the bodies fill out then it will be much easier to tell.

Thanks Daryl I appreciate the input. Were you thinking the red one in the first picture being the female?

... After looking at the pictures that was the way I was leaning as well by the look of them right now(red being the female). Making sure each one is getting enough food was another reason I decided to separate this way there is only competition between 2 instead of 4 for food in the single grow out tank now they have gotten a little older and calling from one of them.

Not to hijack, but since we are on the subject. Back in, I Guess 05 and 06 I had tons of bastis and they were everywhere. I would pay around $75-100. I had so much variation with peach and green dust and ghost dust etc. What happened to all the Bastis that were in the hobby? Was Marcus just importing tons back then or what?

No worries.....
I am not sure that was a little before my time but it took me forever to find these.

Im going with Daryl on this one too. It looks to be 3.1 (red being female) but I have a few male pumilio with the exact shape of your red one, and have had younger females that look like both frogs from pair #2. How long oow are they?

I want to say they are 6+/- months oow.... I will have toget some updated pictures. Since splitting the group into 2 all frogs have put on quite a bit of weight. The 3 that are/thought to be male have now rounded out... The red/pink one thought to be female has kept the same figure....Since spitting I haven't heard any calling from either holding tank....

Update on these....

Pair #1

I have gotten calling from the male which happens to be the Gold Dust one. So that was a correct sex identification.... Hopefully within the next couple weeks I can have their tank built and finished.

Pair#2
No calling I have heard yet but they both have put on some weight and are quite a bit more "rounded" then they were in the pictures... Hopefully I can get some calling out of that pair.
