Default Frog Room - Spotlight on Oophaga Pumilio

I went through the frog room this morning well after the morning spray down - so there is some calling - as always, the cristobal male is never a disappointment. He goes on and on and on...all day. I edited the video and threw it all together over the past couple of hours. It is in HD!!!

Here's the link:

Happy Frogging!

There should be a new video up by next week!

Tell me what you'd be interested in seeing:
1) More Frog Room
2) More Frogs - Oophaga
3) Miniature Orchids
4) Bromeliads

Please let me know and I will start working on the content.

Happy Frogging!

A great video and really instructive for me--nicely done. Thanks! Please include me in for "all of the above" as well. I am particularly interested in seeing more of your viv orchids, since that is an interest of mine as well.

New Zealand sphagnum moss that was dormant for a few years, then made up for it. What you see is close to a year of growth. Other plants include the flowering part of an aquatic amazon 'nana' and tropical moss which is pretty but has no use.

The Adventure Aquarium video is up on youtube! Not a whole lot of frogs to be had at the aquarium and I decided not to use any of the dart frog video because it was a mixed display. Regardless, I think that the folks at the aquarium work hard to make sure that the public has a combination of entertainment and education regarding habitats and conservation. I hope that the video will be enjoyed for what it is.

Sorry - I will be working on a Bromeliad video, but I'm waiting for some supplies. I may be posting a part 1 followed by a part 2. I want to demonstrate potting them in a tree fern panel pot and placing that in the tank - a little more naturalistic then putting them in the clay pots that I'm currently using.

Happy Frogging!

I think I would like to hear some commentary. I assume its a little hard trying to be quiet and commentate but I think that is whats missing in the dart videos I have seen lately.

You have one hell of a camera! I really enjoyed the videos, I would have to vote on more of everything as well.

Your Drago is really awesome, it has a similar pattern as my male. Bigger blotches while the female as a lot of smaller dots and darker green color.
