This is amazing! Congrats!
Colubre are my #1 desired frog but I know it will be a looooong time before they're available to the rest of the hobby

Congrates with the babies, nice to see someone has had luck getting them to breed. Wish Canada would see this morph at some point in the future. Keep up updated on their progress. And maybe a few viv pics to?

This pair already has new tads in the broms. And my second pair just transported their first tads as well.

I hope Colubre are prolific, so maybe their price drops!

That's awesome Kevin. How many is that or is that the same froglet? I look forward to getting some eventually. Let me know when you have some to sell.

Very nice! Congrats! It is always great to see that a new/rare morph is sustainable in the hobby. Looks like it is gonna be a bright future for the Colubre and the hobbyist!

Thanks everyone!

Only found one froglet so far. The pics are all the same one over the course of a couple days. I wouldn't be surprised to find more in the next few days though.

Even if these guys prove to be prolific, they are still egg-feeders and their initial captive stock is extremely low. It will take a long time for Colubre to become well represented in the hobby. But it's certainly progress in the right direction.

Are more colubre being imported? I've been checking strictly's availability list, but their list of pumilo keeps shrinking.

I doubt any more will be imported in the near future (or ever). The wild population is reportedly very small. Even if they were imported again, they don't make it to the Strictly availability list. They have only been sold as single lot (buyer takes all) and were only offered to people that do a lot of business with Strictly. Luckily, I have some good frogger friends!

Very small population, and good relationship with the importer and all those involved.

Congrats!

It's good that the importer sold the lot to experienced froggers rather than parsing out and posting on website for anyone to buy.

Looks like more of these were made available. Price is high, keep breeding little guys so the prices come down. Awesome job!

The lone froglet is doing great...never found any others. Several tads in the broms. It will be at least a month until they are close to morphing though. I'll work on getting pics in the near future.

I have since gotten more froglets from both of my pairs. The first ones were hit-or-miss strength/robustness and not all made it. So I've started Vit A rotations with the adults, and this has helped a lot. First shipment of juvies going out in the next week or so.

Note: I do have a wait list for these frogs but it is full at the moment.

I'll pitch in $5 ...It will be a long time before I can afford these, so best of luck to everyone that has them, or works with them in the coming years. Us poor kids are counting on you!!!

It's great to see people having success breeding this remarkable locality of pumilio. Even better that it's someone somewhat local! :-)
