Default Odd wiggly things in our tadpole’s tank

Hey everyone I am relatively new to this whole thing so please bear with my inexperience! My family recently got some tadpoles from our ditch and we filled up our tank with plants and water from that ditch.Recently we’ve noticed small, off white wiggly things inside the tank. Any ideas as of what it could be?

Maybe detritus worms? Hard to say without a photo

As a fly fisher I would ask if the ditch was stagnant, or was it moving water? If the ditch was stagnant, they could be mosquito larvae. If it was moving water, I would put my money on midge larvae.
Water with any real motion to it will drown mosquito larvae. They like it still.
