Hello! My name is Sophie, and I’m in Ontario, Canada <3 I have set up a vivarium with just plants so far and my baby gecko is moving in once it hatches in one to two months. I’m a little nervous to do this as it’s my first time and I don’t want anything to go wrong, especially with gecky!
I have most of it set up! From the bottom, I have hydroballs, mesh, coconut shell substrate, organic soil with plants and then lastly, spagmum moss.
The plants in it are a small spider plant, an Echeveria, a small aquatica pachira cutting and a dwarf umbrella tree.
I still need to figure out the live food set up, drinking water setup, and the cleaning crew!
I’m hoping to get some guidance from here and experience from other vivarium/ crested gecko owners from this forum!
Thanks for the add 🙂

A couple of things to consider:
I've found that Isopods eat the geckos' eggs (I've seen dwarf white isopods eating their way thru gecko eggs, in my vivarium), so when it gets time for breeding (if you're going to), I'd make sure there's an egg laying place attached to the glass well above the substrate.

Other than that dwarf white isopods are great choices for the cleaning crew. I wouldn't, personally, go with want species bigger than that for fear they start trying to nibble on the gecko.
