Default New here. First vivarium build.

Hello all.

I'm new to frog keeping but I'm a long time saltwater reef hobbyist and I've been researching dart frogs for the past few months, I'm finally taking the dive!

I just moved into a new house and I finally have a dedicated mancave/frog/aquarium room. I plan to get at least 2 racks going and I'm in the process of building my first two tanks, exoterra 12x12x18.

I appreciate any guidance you can offer. I cant figure out how to post pictures

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the hobby. It can be addictive, and seems like you have already caught the bug. My advice is start slow, especially at first. Your first couple of years you will learn a lot. Stuff you can't really read about and understand until you actually "get your hands dirty" so to speak. Cut your teeth with a couple of tanks, and go from there.

To post pictures set up an image hosting site add your picture to that and use the link from the site I use a bblink medium thumbnail so not to fill the entire page hope this helps and welcome looking forward to seeing your builds

Thanks for the encouraging words guys!

Here are some pictures us the tanks I've been working on. The 12x12x18 wouldn't have been my first choice but I already had the tanks.

Great stuff black foam, silicone , coco fiber, cork bark and spider wood.

Nice progress, coming along nicely. What was your thought process on the spacing of your shelves?
