Default 20 gallon inhabitants

Hey guys!
I have a 20 gallon long converted on itís side, all glass and Iím trying to figure out what to house in it. Wether it is an areboreal snake or a gecko I donít care I just need ideas! I have experience with several different reptiles and amphibians. If you guys have any suggestions of what animal can live in the tank for itís whole life spans. Lremeber it is glass top and have to account for lighting situation.

I would prefer reptile options rather than amphibians. I will make a bio active setup for anything. Also do you guys feel that a leopard gecko could live in a multilevel 20 gallon placed vertically

Pick one animal you want to keep and design your tank around that. 20 gallon long turned on it's side is not an arboreal setup.

Yes, this. So much this.

If there is a certain species that is tugging at your mind, then research how to keep it and get yourself one. If you just have a glass box to fill, fill it with jellybeans or teddy bears or something.

Leos can climb, but they do it very poorly. Any sort of fall could be damaging, so a basic terrestrial arrangement is ideal.

Also think of ease of maintenance when it comes to leopard gecko. If it is a multilevel cage you would need to disassemble and reassemble the tank to clean it which could be a pain in the ass and may mean you won't do it as frequently as you should.
