Default My first viv let me know what ya thinK!

This was my first viv and since these photos I have added Moss to the ground and a few extra plants! Yes there is a waterfall next to the orchid and there are two foggers that I custom built coming out of the top of each corner.

It's a florescent light. I have a total of three light fixtures ontop of this viv. The florescent light was only for plant growth and to help with the shock they were about to go through being I just planted them. I hardly use that light anymore. I use that light and the other "moonlights" once or twice a month just to help with the growth of the plants. Those lights have actually made all my plants flourish. Almost to the points they look like plants on "roids". Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe I am retarded but I don't see any you say there is more then one species of frog in there... and I looked through all the pictures... did he say it on another topic? I think the tank looks very nice even though you can tell the broms are store bought rather then bought as pups

Ahhh I see I missed that picture... Well if people aren't coming in cause of that then how is he suppose to understand that mixing is a no no? I realize that everyone is helpful here and maybe the OP doesn't know... maybe he is ignoring it... But that doesn't really mean he should be excuminacated just because of mixing (No I don't support it) but he should be helped to maybe steer him away from it that way the mistakes of the past aren;t repeated and he can remove before breeding happens (Again I don't know if he has been warned or not... just my feelings)

With that being said QRICH you need to understand that people (Including myself) strongly disagree and don;t really like people mixing species... Most are here to try and help breed pure lines so that they don't degraded the o,[prtance of species... It would be like crossing two snakes to get a completely different animal all together... I.E. Boa and a Pythong (I know they could never just an example) Sure it would be cool but naturally this would never happen nor would you want to see it in my PO... I think you will get alot more response if you were to seperate the animals into 10gals and just try keeping the species you love most in the big Viv... Post if there was something I missed ^^

I did have them all in that tank originally for a couple of weeks as they were 2 months old. I have then separated the species. I have done loads of research on many different breeds. This is my first time constructing a viv from scratch as well as have darts. I have however owned other types of frogs and fish. Including piranhas. I understand your concern, but I can reassure you that all my frogs are doing just fine.

I see a bunch of plants that won't survive well in there...Also, your lighting looks very dim, what type of bulb, fixture is it?
EDIT: I'm talking about the first pictures you posted.

I have yet to have any problems with plants dying. Well I did lose the fern but that was cause lack of light in the spot it was in. The lighting is a two T-5 bulbs as well as a standard aquarium light. The pink one is black light which I was just using for a short time. Which plants do you think I will have trouble with?

Looks great! Great first viv if you ask me. Quite frankly, who really cares what people on this board say about keeping different frogs together. Its your tank, your frogs, you do what pleases you, after all it is a hobby and meant to be enjoyed. I have a communal tank, with pairs of luecs, alanis, powders, and azureus. They have been together for 2 years and all live together without any problems. I also have a pair of patricias that i breed. I put the froglets in my eldorado tank and they have been living together for 18 months. I would be interested in seeing more pictures as time passes by as the plants to continue to take room and grow.

Someone I will not be buying frogs from. I do not support hybridiots or people who think mixing is cool.

LOL I don't plan on it. I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the idiot that mixes tinctorius locale morphs. BTW nice tank, the colors are vibrant.
