I guess the viv. looks pretty good.
I would do a detailed search on mixing.

Ive done research on mixing dart frogs for years now, i dont want this to be another thread that everyones gonna hate on cuz im mixing an azureus and a couple leucs. I know they can crossbreed and i know that Azureus can get aggressive towards the Leucs. Ive been closely watching and ive seen no aggressive behavior so far but if i do see it then ill separate them. I always wanted to make a community tank with dart frogs n ive read up that Leucomelas and Azureus can be successfully kept together so i thought id give it a try. The tank is a 50 gallon long and the frogs are almost a year old, probably 7 or 8 months.

As long as your reasonable and open minded about it, no one will hate you.
Just be prepared for some constructive criticism, and judging by your response I think you`re kind of expecting it.

Yea im expecting some people to dissagree with what im doing but im prepared and theres no harm in trying. Heres a couple pics of the vivarium, took me a couple months to build but it was my first vivarium i ever made.

The bump in the corner is their hut covered in moss, I need to put a peri dish in their still but do i need to put water in the petri dish so they can lay their eggs?

Thumbs up Re: Video of Dendrobates & Vivarium

Awesome, I like that it looks different from most vivs. You'll be doing a lot of trimming but totally worth it in my opinion.

Your bamboo action makes it look 'tribal-esque', and rich with culture.....I can dig that!!! Hehe

I like the rock structures you built as well...very nice

Thanks for the comments, my idea was to make it look like a bamboo forest with lots of plants and live moss. The waterfall was the last feature I put in the tank but was the trickiest because i had a couple leaks how it was set up before so i set up the waterfall using a couple large flat rocks.
Thanks Josh yea i dont mind trimming the plants but having to water them all the time is kind of annoying but all worth it.

looks cool!

Do you know the sexes of those frogs? Why do you want to put a petri dish in there? You plan to breed from the mixed tank?

I dont know the sexes of the frogs but im think i have 1 male because it has larger toe pads if thats correct. I do want to breed dart frogs and if they crossbreed then they crossbreed, ive seen the leuc x azureus hybrid and they look pretty wicked. All im sayin is if they happen to breed then id rather have the eggs safe then none at all.
