Default New Build

Hey all,

Just finished my new 30 gallon showpiece. Still have some more plants on the way but I'm really pleased with how it came out. I know a lot of people aren't big on water fixtures, but that is a homemade waterfall and I made sure there are multiple excape routes. I'm contemplating adding a fan inside, but I do have pretty good ventilation up top. I also have some of the Moss mix from dart frog megastore that i'm testing out on some of the cork peices. Anyone have any idea how long that takes to grow out?

The tank is going to house a trio of azureus

Anyway enjoy the pics and comments are appreciated.

Very nice. Can we get a closeup of the water feature?

The're not necassary, but a lot of people do use them.

P.S. Awesome Sig TMNT... Mikey

Here is a close-up pic of the waterfall during construction. It is literally a rectangular piece of egg crate with styrofoam bits glued every which way to create somewhat of a 3 tiered effect. I'll try to get a good picture of it actually in the tank, but the ones i've taken so far didnt turn out very well

This is the best I could do with my camera for a close-up in tank shot.

Sorry for the delay in the response, I've been traveling the past few days. I used a black colored sanded grout from Lowe's. I'll be back home on tuesday and I can post a picture of the exact stuff I used. Took about 5 coats and then i submerged it in vinegar and water for a few days to cure it.
