Default Grown-In 40b (Picture Heavy)

Hey guys. I haven't been on DB in forever, but I'm still around!

I made this viv about a year ago and it's grown in great! It's home to a family of tricolors. Just thought I'd post a few pics because I think it has grown in beautifully.

Some of the photos aren't great quality-- can't quite afford that Nikon yet, haha.

Very nice, what kind of moss is that you've got growing all over?

What kind of lights do you have on that tank?

Thanks for the compliments! I'm not sure on the moss, it was a hitchhiker on some store-bought sphagnum. It grows faster & greener than Riccia and java moss.

The lights are just 4 standard daylight spiral fluorescents.

And the lid is 4 sections of 1/8" glass with a small screen section.

The best part about the tank is that it's semi-self-sustaining. I just put a new fly culture in the tank every three months or so, and it stays pretty well hidden in the plants.

So how do you supplement them?

It looks stunning! I'm also curious if you feed dusted flies aside from the ones in the viv.

Absolutely gorgeous! How do you keep the tank flourishing? Do you have a fan inside the tank? Lately....my tanks have been looking a little ruff too much non moving air I think. Just wondering. Awesome job

Beautiful. Was the small dark area/cave intended? It looks really natural...

You know, to be honest, I forgot supplements existed shortly after I stopped lurking around dendroboard. I haven't used any for about a year and a half... but I should probably start doing that.

I don't have any fans, so the air is pretty stagnant. I think I got lucky with this tank, I wasn't expecting it to survive more than six months.
