Default Rio Guarumo 2008-09

Nice Yellowish colour but they are pretty variable - greenish and then high yellow. Throw small froglets.

Close up....

If that's the big vert size, then yes.....the bigger one.

Not a "fluke".....just your normal non specific locale-import state of affairs. Sad...

I just had a froglet morph out from my rio pair and he did not do so good. His front legs did not come out in time from the rest of his body

I think that is still considered SLS....

Interesting that there is a higher than average # of people having trouble with this particular morph,....

There are as bold as any other pum that I have kept.

My Caucheros are the most secretive.....

Both my bast's and Rio's are out all the time but the Rio male calls a lot more and lay more clutches.

Thank you!

All Pumilio are the same.....same species.

I feel kind of odd saying one particular morph is this or that compared to another.

The Rios are the "same" as most other morphs. The only diff is the Eldorado, Bri Bri, Blue jeans and those inland" morphs tend to be physically bigger and throw much bigger froglets. Maybe they can be considered more "bold" because of their large size....

Nice !

Keep that group safe. I think this morph is going to be one of those that we don't see too many of in the near future. I hope we can all get them going and keep them in good hands.

i got to see in person this past weekend phil's pums and tanks. beautiful!! picked up a ton of information and great tips too! i think i saw most every frog. they were in the backs of the tanks but still very viewable! the auratus were the only non-visible frogs there.

Very nice.
I recently aquired a group of these frogs. They seem much more secretive than my man creeks but could be still settling in. I'm looking forward to seeing froglets popping up eventually.
How large a group are you keeping in that size exo?

My Big Exo / Zoomed vert are @ 33 gallons - I keep both 1.2 or 1.1 in different ones...

My Rios are 1.1 in that particular viv.

I now have two Rio groups of 1.2 and I see all six consistently. I would not worry about boldness. None of them run off when I enter the room.

Thanks all this helps a lot . Your tank and frogs look great . I was thinking they would bolt and hide as soon as you walked in the room .

Thanks....just that they are on the small side. Have plenty of springs available.

Just picked up 1.2 more of these from pigface (SNDF 2006-ish)

Now I have 1.1 and 1.2....muhaha

NOW lets see if I can get big froglets with the new infusion and hopefully better parenting.

Fingers crossed

Found a tiny clutch of 3 eggs and within 2 days, they looking whitish and totally deflated / dessicated after 4 days.....sad.

This is a tough morph to have sucess with for whatever reason.
