Default Exo Terra glass tops?

I have been reading posts and some people said they used glass to cover the Exo Terra terrariums. Is this custom made or commercially bought? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I believe they have them custom made. I don't think the glass is that expensive. You can also just cover the screen with clear plastic strips. I've done that and they work fine.

Just get it cut at a hardware store or glass shop its pretty cheap, you can just lay it on top of the screen or take the screen lid totally off, snip out those "locks" around the rim that lock in the lid with wire cutters or something so that the rim is just like an aquarium rim and get glass cut to exact dimensions to lay in the rim (there's a good illustration of that here with a homemade screen that is pretty easy to make: http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/par...ghlight=repair ) usually its just easier to lay a piece of glass on top of the exo terra screen lid though, you can slide it on and off more for more or less ventilation.

If you want to go the cheap route Lowes will cut it for you for under $10. I was geting my tops cut there but I got tired of cutting myself on the sharp edges. I called a local glass shop and they have been cutting my tops for under $20, the advantage here is they round off all the edges and the glass is thicker and way less fragile.

I went to Walmart and bought a picture frame for 5 bucks and cut the glass myself. If you dont have a glass cutter you can get them at homedepot for somthing like 5 dollars, their pretty inexpensive.
