Finally finished my first tank. Pics can be found in the gallery.
Light: AH Supply 65 Watt 5500 K retrofit (PC Fan w/ AC adapter for cooling)
Tank: All Glass 36 Gallon Corner w/ Stand
Background: 1/2 inch blue foam insulating panels covered w/ Great Stuff and Coco Fiber (pieces of cypress wood and ghost wood inserted into foam)
Sump: False Bottom/LECA
Heater: Hydrokable w/ Thermostat
Substrate: 50% Orchid Bark Mix (Home Depot), 50% Cocofiber
Waterfall: Pieces of aquarium slate and river rocks held together w/ silicone
Plants: Broms and Tropicals from Peace of the Tropics (Will be adding tropical moss in a bit)
Frogs: None for a few months, I want the tank to really stabilize before I get my first frogs
Overall, I am very pleased with the design of the tank. I did plenty of research on the Great Stuff/Coco background, and I beleive the key to getting it right is to be patient and do the silicon/coco in small sections. It took about a week to finish the background. I choose to create my background on 3 blue foam panels so I can do it outside the tank. This also gives me easy access to the pump by tilting the small panel forward. These corner tanks are stunning, worth every penny in the end (quite a lot of pennies went into this thing!!!). Feel free to post any questions, I'd be happy to respond.
