Default Searching for help

Hey guys, I am getting ready to build me a new tank and I have read and searched a lot. I have decided to do a stream in my next tank and I really like the look of the cork long stream found on Blackjungle.com's site. The problem is they dont sell it and i have yet to find someone who does. Can anyone help?

It will do fine sitting in water, but its a lot of air space so you should seal it with something if you want it to hold stagnant water. If you are just using it as the stream then you don't need to seal it since the water will just recirculate fast enough to make up for any leaked water.

What Emily said

I bought a cork tube and broke it in half (long-wise). I then used the hollow for my stream bed. The water fed into a pond area in the front corner of my tank. I never had any problem with it not holding water.

It will hold the water fine. Before installing it you will want to check for cracks. A little silicone over any thin areas or small cracks will fix that.

Although it does deteriorate in wine bottles after a period of time....it will hold up well in your tanks. I have some pieces that were left outside (been about 10 years) they are bleached from the sun but are still intact.
