Its pics like that, that prove that not even an almirante can beat a good-ol'-fashioned blue jeans. Great pics!

Joe, your hand is very wrinkly-- kinda like my grandma. The frog is pretty enough to make up for it though...

Pure and simple... luck, spending a lot of time in the hobby, and making friends.

Just an observation: it's funny to me how blue jeans are still such a "coveted" frog. Granted they are beautiful frogs, but it seems that the only reason for this has to be that they are rare in the hobby. I'm not saying this is good or bad, and perhaps I'm pointing out the obvious. It seems that with the Red and Blue pumilio coming in from Panama the demand for "a red pumilio with blueish legs" would be somewhat satisfied. I wonder if those that have been "dying to get Blue Jeans" got some of the recent imports? After all they are pumilio that very much resemble Blue Jeans.

I'm one of those! I almost got some, but after seeing the pics, the recent imports don't have as blue of legs, which I really like about the blue jeans.
The imports are still beautiful frogs...just not exactly what I want. It has little to do with how rare they are (to me)...if I could pick them up at a convenience store, I'd have them!

I agree with Robb on this one. They are absolutely amazing pumilio, but their numbers are decreasing in the US, because people want them but don't have the time, resources, or knowledge to breed them. I hope I'm not one of those people, but I guess time will tell.

Just remember the colors are HIGHLY variable. My female blue jeans has very dark legs that look black unless photographed with a flash. Just look at the animal at the top of this post. I'm not saying anything bad about it, it's a beautiful healthy frog, but the legs to me are not as blue as some of the imports that I have. Now this doesn't make it any less beautiful an animal but if blue legs are your main concern, I have some of the imports that have very nice blue legs even under flourescent lighting. I also have imports that are not quite as blue, more grayish and some even brownish. It really depends on the individual animals. So if you really like the blue legs you can find imports with stunning blue legs on a fire engine red body. You can also find blue jeans that may disappoint you.

Right, I've noticed that in various pics also.
