Default My dying plants >.< Plus some tank pics ^_^

Well my tank has finished going through its molding stage. The Leucs will probably be introduced in about 2 weeks more if I need it. So some of my plants look like their dying, well just the one's towards the bottom of the tank (especially the creeping oak...) Is their a reason for this and should I do something to prevent this? Also can someone please suggest a plant that will provide big green foliage (though Luecs aren't very shy) maybe a fern or something around that. Thanks for reading my woe's, now to the tanks pics.

Please wait while I upload the other 14 files or so...

So their are some extra ones... sorry for it being in .Jpg I know those are bad quality. The tubs are some moss I'm growing myself, and the red rock (If I showed it in their) is my filter, sphagnum moss is on top of that.

Hey there. In looking at your plants, to me, they seem to be doing just fine. There is ALWAYS an adjustment period after you plant your plants. It takes them some time to adjust to your viv enviornment. You will naturally see some browning and leaf drop until they get adjusted and established.

Ok, thanks, I was worrying that it was because I didn't have enough sphagnum for it because the grass looking plant (yah its sad I don't know its name) has a lot of sphagnum and its doing good.

lol is it really that bad? Also, I was thinking of adding a fern that I would prune to shape to add some green into my viv, any suggestions?

Hey Peace, I would second Julio. Lighting is very important for the plant's growth and health. From the pictures it looks dark, but you most likely had your lighting fixture off, right??

Definately check the lighting, I would recommend GE's they're much cheaper than lights at the pet store. Get them at lowes.

P.S. make sure they are made for plant growth

Your plants look ok to me, but that one brom on that piece of wood needs to be propped up a little more. It should be facing up, not down or to the side.

I am using a G.E. daylight bulb and a blacklight. You are correct when you guess that I had the lights off for these pics. I'm thinking of adding either a "Upside Down Fern" or a "Fern - Adiantum hispidulum", any preferences or suggestions?

Looks good so far... My only suggestion would be to move your tillandsias (the two on the background and the one by the thermometer) higher up... They'll do better with more ventilation and time to dry out a bit.
