Default galactonotus viv pics

Hi everyone,
just wanted to share a few pics of my galac viv. Been up and running for several months, GS background with ace concrete binder and coco covering. One small fan that runs for 10 mins. every hour from 10am to 11pm, 65w, 6700k 24" cf light, and misted only by hand once a day. Its a 29gl (?) bowfront. Sorry no shots of the frogs, they were all hiding when the camera came out.
Nick

Kohleria lucianii

Cryptanthus acaulis, Dischidia imbricata, Baptistonia echinata

Restrepia dodsonii, and resurrection fern

Restrepia in bloom

Philodendron wend-imbe

Wow! Very nice viv. If you take any pics later, be sure to show them.

AMAZING! Very nice! So what is the plant above the philodendron in the last pic? Is that some sort of fern?

It looks like a resurrection fern.

Nice viv. I've given up on the moss look myself but still think it looks nice. I especially like how full the background is covered.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Emily is right, its a resurrection fern. Very nice little fern, and has done great. I debated on putting the moss on the ground and may end up pulling most of it on the right side of the tank and adding more leaf litter. A friend calls it my golf course and the frogs should have a little lawn mower to keep it trim!

Thanks to both of you (Nick & Emily)! That is a nice fern! I think the leaf litter will be a nice touch. Both functionally and aesthetically. I think it will be a great anchor for your eyes in that corner. Very much amazing!

Julio,
it's just pillow moss from T&C on the ground and live tropical sheet moss on the background (the type Black Jungle sells).

The tank is exquisite. I have a group of 4 75% orange galacts in a 30 gallon cube tank that was similarly planted to yours. Over the past two years or so the frogs have stamped out most of the smaller delicate plants, especially during the heavy part of the breeding cycle. If you have any speciman plants in that viv you may want to keep a close eye on their condition or at least start back up cuttings in another tank.

good luck with them they are great frogs.

Eric

Thanks for the heads up Eric. They are just now getting up to adult size, but still pretty quiet, hiding most of the time.

Looks great! I also have a concrete binder backround, and it seems like moss loves to grow on it, they attach very well to it for some reason... possibly the PH is what they like?
