Default Solarte WooHoo!

I've got my first successful pumilio froglets. Last night I found the first one, and today I found at least 4 out at the same time. There were a total of 11 tads transported to broms back in late November, but I wasn't allowing myself to get excited because I wasn't sure how successful they would be being the first clutch from '07 imports. Anyway, it looks good. See for yourself!

And Mom-

They sure will.

And, Thanks Julio. I'm very happy about them. I'll get better pics when I can, but they are still a little shy.

Congrats....Looks to me they are off to a healthy start!
Is it typical for juvies to be spotted like that? Will the pattern fade out as they mature?

These are my first successful pumilio, so I can't speak from experience on this one, but from what I gather from others, this is typical of Solarte froglets. Most, but not all, will lose their spots and lighten up. However, from what I understand, even the ones that don't completely lose the spots, have them reduced so much that they are barely noticable. Considering their parents are flawless, I would expect the froglets to look pretty good too. But either way, they are a beautiful frog IMO.

**WOW**
So I get to choose now???? j/k

If I brought anymore home right now I think my better half might start to get a little irritated..... I am looking forward to March 7th though.

BTW I have some cobalts just about ready..... Let me know when.

Hey Chris, congrats on the good looking froglet, must be pretty cool to see one crawl out of a brom. My pair has a few tads in broms right now and was wondering how long yours took to morph out.
Thanks,
Scott

She transported the eggs on 11/29, so That would make it about 65 days.

Yeah sure, no problem. I'm not so sure they will be ready to go by the time the meeting comes around, but If you are sure you want some, I'll put you down for them. You can check them out when you come up and let me know what you think.

Just an update - There are 4 of them hopping around the viv, eating like pigs, and growing like weeds.

Thanks Everybody. I'm proud of them. They have just been breeding machines for me.

The formula for me that seems to work with them is:

1) Very high humidty/running water

2) Temps around 75 degrees.

3) Feed heavily.

4) Every time I add my second female (even though she's not the one laying the eggs) the male starts calling like crazy, and his girl get's nice and fat and lays within a few weeks.
