Here is my 1st viv! What do you think? Any suggestions on a frog that would be happy in here?

Very nice for a first viv! I hope the plants do well for you.

Looks like some leucomelas would happily call that home.

its a 20 high and the top is just screen but it has two hoods that almost completely cover it. i figure itll have to be more sealed so ffs dont escape once i get frogs in there....

Looks good and should work well. only thing i would do is ditch the screen it looks like the holes in it are pretty large and could be a hazard to a curious climbing frog if it were to get a leg in it and fall it could cause a broken or dislocated limb. the tank itself looks good cant wait to see your frog choice.

So I asume I should cover the top with a peice of glass but wont that restrict air flow? Sholud it only cover the half top without hood cover?

about 80% should be glass you get cut at a hardware store then maybe build a screen for the rest (which is really easy), look at the top-down shots in mike's first post here: http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/par...ra-repair.html

shawn shows how to build a screen in this thread (you might want to make your top the way he makes the front on here since yours will be top-opening): http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/car...tml#post253018
but he used more complex corners, the corners on mike's are a lot easier to do (just did some myself), all the supplies to do it are really cheap in places like home depot, the only tools you need are a hacksaw to cut the frame pieces and a $2 screening tool (that tool that looks like it has 2 wheels on it in shawn's post, they sell right with the other screen supplies) to stuff the spline in
