Beautiful frog and species, SD. Good luck with breeding...would be nice to see these more frequently available in the hobby.

sweet frogs! what's your opinion of the zoo meds? I'm looking at buying some more exo's/zoo meds - i've seen them both in person and own an exoterra. I'm just curious if the extra money is warranted for the slightly better quality latch etc on the exo's.

I'm zoo med all the way. the top is all one piece instead of having the cross bar. the latch is way easier to open without the click sound. personally i like the single piece door as opposed to the double. otherwise they are pretty much the same. oh yeah and they are about 30% cheaper.

partially planted i have a jewel for the back and a fern for the middle right. a little leaf litter and then the frogs.

Good luck with those guys. Hopefully they don't give you any problems and we can get some more of them into the hobby.

Melas, from what I've seen of them the quality of the tank itself is about the same. I've only used the exo's personally, but would not hesitate to buy the zoomed tank. I have heard that some people prefer the two opening doors over the single though.

Thanks for the input guys! I have a wholesale account at that Fish Place and I can get the zoo med 18x18x24 for $50 - I'll be picking up a few this week!

The plants DID really change the the looks of the tank! Keep up the good work!

Very Nice! I love seeing these come together a little at a time like that!

PS - If you ever need anything let me know . . . I could meet you there - I have to go M-F 8am - 5pm though . . . I think I'm going this Tuesday - I still need to see if Phil (Philsuma) can go.

Sorry for off-topic - All you need is an EIN or a legitimate business as a sole proprietor where your SS# would be your EIN. Fill out a form and you are all set. The stuff is sold tax free so you are supposed to pay tax on it when you use/sell it. Pretty handy - there are some steep discounts on things like aquariums etc. Livestock doesn't have a very good price break but I'm really not looking to buy anything there anyhow.
