Looking forward to pics!

Most people would recommend against sphagnum on top of ABG if frogs are going in there.

I'd advise against the Monsoon if you haven't already purchased it. Apparently the electronic control board has a tendency to short over time (humidity?) and it will dump the entire container of water into your vivarium.

If you have already purchased it, make sure to open the whole container to fill it, instead of using the fill port on the top of the container.

above is a thread about some issues with the Monsoon system.

I second that. Mistking or Climist are well worth the peace of mind.

I was surprised to see a report in that thread that a 'Mistking timer' failed. Mistking changes timer models periodically, so it would be hard to figure out what timer was referred to. I use quite a few digital timers around the house, though, and I've never had one fail 'on', and AFAIK it a rare occurrence for relays to fail 'closed'. Mistking's new timer is 24v; I wonder if it is a TRIAC switch?

Thanks! I got a MistKing 🙂 and a second vivarium. And then I tore down and replanted the first. Took out all the 9724CA05-A19E-49E7-9477-5EF49E8BC466_1575264020649.jpgsphagnum, replaced the substrate barrier with window screen and added another inch of LECA. I used Joshs Frogs ABG mix and it kind of disintegrated. Hopefully this new setup will aerate the soil and help it drain better. Added some orchid bark and a little pond area. Used cork flats and pieces to build up the height of the substrate area. The red brom is in orchid bark in a net pot 🙂
