Default Back into the hobby build

I finally got a chance to get back in the hobby after a long time and thought I’d share my build. I can say patience has been key for this and I’ve been letting it grow out now for about 7 months with great results. It’s fully sustainable with a mistking system, spectral designs light and controller, a cpu fan, and a bulkhead that drains to a bucket that has a pump to recirculate the water back into the tank. I’m hoping to get some frogs this fall once the top has finally grown out and covered the background completely 5B439BA8-3C66-4FAF-BD16-381C8B9617ED_1566829728021.jpg

Welcome back! I returned to the hobby last fall but only recently started working on a new display vivarium. Yours looks great and is growing in well. What are you planning on putting in there?

Looks great!

How do you like the SD controller? Do you run the stock programming or have you experimented with custom lighting schedules?

Thank you! Right now I’m leaning towards Bastis as I’ve always loved their boldness and call. As far as the SD system goes, I absolutely love it and so do the plants. I have the night light option that has a blue glow to it at nighttime. I have the stock mapping on it right now to really get the plants to grow, and I’ll probably ramp it down to a max of about 90% at peak light output because it does get a little too warm and bright in there for my liking. I think 85-90% will be much better.
This is the nightlight option that ramps up as the lights dim for a moonlight effect.

That's a really cool setup. I love how you made it have two open sides for viewing :-)
