I love Alanis, The jet black body just really makes them stand out.

According to several collectors and breeders i now they claim that inferAlanis tend to be more yellowish and Alanis a bit more on the orage side. However they all told me that more than visual which is usually not even there!! the difference is from the collection site from where they are imported (originally).

There are a number of very good old discussions on this topic. I'd encourage those interested to search for them.

The orange vs yellow color is not what I recall the differences to be....

and this is a frog morph [Alanis and Inferalanis] that has a high probability of already having been 'accidentally' mixed already.

New genetics came in from SNDF recently and hopefully they will be ASN registered and will help populate the hobby needs.

HUh?

Well if that is the case.. I might be in trouble.

My one pair of alanis is the same pattern wise for the most part but one yellow and one orange.

I see the one thread about the difference and was still confused come the end.

My apologies for even having even brought this up in your 'sharing' thread. I can spilt to another thread if you desire.

http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/gen...confusion.html

hum....Guess I needed to refresh my memory also.

There are other thread but I didnt have time to locate them.

I've had frogs in the past though that I was very suspicious of having been 'inconsistent' with known WC alanis, yet sold as CB alanis. I've seen others also, which is why I commented that the hobby should try and nurture the new bloodlines from SNDF and attempt not to mix back into the 'old' lines of whatever we have in the US already [alanis/inferalanis/mixes/ect]

Not to take away from your frogs because they are what we have available in abundance here and would still be tracked by ASN, just not mixed with new WC lines.

Shawn,
No need to apologize. Heck this was an old thread that got brought up that I had forgot about. I was not confused by what you said at all, it was Topete's comment that had me confused.

Heck I may just be cranky today anyways

I understand what you are saying completely. I guess if I took the time I could track mine back to the begining and find out for sure. Just have not have the umph to do it.
