How much water you got in that pond? Don’t wanna be a downer, but bettas need at least 2.5gallons, 5+ gallons is preferred. They also need clean water with lots of places to hide and rest in. They tire easily because of those big fancy fins. 🙂
The water temp should also be 75/80°, which warmer water lowers oxygen in the water column. While bettas are anabantiods, they still need o2 in the water column, which can be made by slow water movement and live plants. If the quality of the water is undesirable, they’re likely to jump out, trying to find better water.
These are great lil pets with big personalities (for a fish), and if kept in proper conditions, they can live longer than the usual 3-5 yrs in captivity. I’ve had a few live past 7 yrs.
The tank looks great and the pond looks really cool, but keep those water parameters in mind for the fish and they’ll be happy too.
