Default Vivarium Stands

Super fortunate to have a spouse who likes to build furniture!

He just finished a stand (left) for my new tank. Itís going into a sitting room so we wanted it to be more furniture-like. There will be books down below and a drawer added eventually, and my design input was a small shelf behind the drawer area that holds my timer/power strip.

The first stand (right) was a quick build he made when he got me my first tank and we had to find a spot for it 😛. Itís great for storage: I keep supplements, supplies, water jug, and my hand mister in there.

Note my first tank needs a good trim and maybe an overhaul: they are in an active breeding cycle and are such slobs! I could clean the glass twice a day. Happy with how the second tank is growing: I have four Leuc juveniles about ready to move in.

Putting it on casters is a great call.
I wish that I had done that with mine as well.

Here's what I made up for my vivarium - if it adds some ideas or further thoughts.

Yeah we use casters on a lot of stuff, it makes it easier to clean around them for sure.

That looks fantastic! Yeah, I was hoping this thread would be useful for people getting ideas--I've learned a lot on the forum so it's nice to have something to contribute

Another option for the future is to get him to build you double-decker stands so that you can double your space usage :-) Almost all of my tank stands are double-deckers becasue I don't have a frog room with racks. I had a local welder put mine together and I love them. The tanks themselves hide most of the wires and tubes. It looks really clean especially when you have multiple stands/tanks at the same height, etc. in different parts of the room. Anyway, something to think about :-)

That looks great!

And yeah, double deckers...I have a small house and we're *trying* to keep the number of tanks down (also a couple fish tanks, sigh). Maybe someday!

Why try to resist? Just turn one room into a frog/fish room then fill it with tanks XD
