Default The Big Build

In the fall of 2016, Doug (Pumilo) gave me a butt load of glass. There were two double pane units of 39" X about 120". The Caveat: I had to cut them apart and pack 'em up. My Sons and i did that one afternoon.
Now I had a huge stock of glass. So I had to learn how to make vivariums. Doug's advice again proved correct, a really good glass cutter was the thing to have. I have documented some of the builds on the board, but now I want to report on what I did with all this glass.
This is the Big Build. I made 10 Vivariums with the glass- either from scratch or as conversions from aquariums. If you see a front opening vivarium with a Sherman vent under the doors- I made it.Combined with exo's and 2 viv's that are still just glass pits (fixing that is next), I have a total of 20 vivs. on 5 racks. So here they are:

Rack One: Red Eyed tree frogs (55 gal. approx) R. imatator Varadero, below are tarantulas (Therasophids), and below that are crickets and storage.

Rack Two: D. tinctorius Arwarape, R. imatator Chatzuta, below: R. benedicta Pampa Hermosa, Open Hospital tank with pitcher plant, Below: 4 10 gal grow-outs.

Rack Three: D. leucamelas (Banded), below: P. terribilis Mint, below: 2 grow outs.

Rack 4: D. tinctorius Azureus, below: D. tinctorius Bakhuis, below: D. auratus Higlands Bronze.

Rack 5: Cruziohyla calcarifer Splendid Leaf Frog ( r that's where they'll go when I get them fron Understory in the June shipment), below: P. terribilis Orange. At the very top are tads.

I guess I kind of have a 6th rack, but it has fruitfly's, eggs, metamorph chambers and nursery grow-out. Some springtails and isopods as well. It's the "whatever" shelves.
So I dedicate this thread to Pumilo, without whom none of this would've been possible.

Thank You.
And Thanks to Chris Sherman too, great vents. If you make his vent design donate to the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center. You know you want to anyway

Looks like a lot of quality work there. Would be nice to see close ups as well.

I was thinking about that too. I'll need to get some time to clean the fronts and get clear pics, but in the meantime, I have 2 shots of the Red Eyed Tree Frog and Splendid leaf frog I did last weekend for a different purpose. I'm particularly proud of my Tree frog vivarium design. The "frog chamber" sits above a heated, aerated well. This allows the vivs to stay warm with a good amount of passive airflow. Vents are below the sliding doors and on top.
Here they are:

I remember you posting about your RETF method, and glad to see it's success!

You're first on the list. But nothing from them yet. I've had them about a year now, so they might show some action this years. They sure are big and active though. When I get to posting individual tanks I'm sure you'll see them.

So, I finally cleaned the doors of all the tanks (company coming by) so I decided to honor my boast that I would supply close-ups of all the vivs.
I will do one reply for each rack to keep the imaging to a minimum.

Rack One: Red Eyed tree frogs (55 gal. approx) & R. imatator Varadero 18X18X24 exoterra
