Default A couple new frogs

Got some new frogs this past week, but due to computer problems, havent been able to post any pictures until this morning.

Frogs I received are 0.0.3 D. Tinctorius "Patricia" and 0.0.4 D. Leucomelas. It's amazing for as young as they are, I can already start to see some distinguishing personalities in each individual frog.

2 Leucs

1 Patricia

And I also caught a pretty cool picture of my male Imitator standing guard over the eggs. If you look closely, you can see a tadpole getting really close to hatching in one of the eggs.

Imis are amazing- the only way I ever knew I had tads (or even eggs for that matter) was when I caught my male toting one of them on his back. Awesome!!

You guys must be good luck because when i got home tonight, I caught my male transporting his first tad for me. I snapped a real quick shot, but he saw me and started to run. I'll upload the picture in the morning.

It really was quite the sight to see! I've never seen him transporting a tad before. There's another egg that's only a day or two away from hatching and hopefully i can catch him transporting that tad as well!

Ok, now I am confused, your Patricia morph looks just like my supposedly Patricia morph that I bought from my local pet store that everyone says looks more like a more like Suriname Cobalt. I am not sure at all anymore. Well, here is the photo of my frog. You be the judge.

Thanks for letting me hi jack your thread for a second.

Patricias and Cobalts can look very similar and sometimes its hard to tell the difference unless you know for a fact which is which. Its also a little hard to tell on your frog because the flash is quite strong and that really tends to kill the lighter colors on frogs. In any case, just because a frog looks like something, it definitely does not mean that it IS that frog. I wouldnt worry about it that much. Your patricia really is a pretty frog though! Nice catch!

Thanks McBobs. I meant to put in the last post that you had a very nice collection yourself. I will one day have my own little highway of baby transporters running around my tanks as well. It is going to take a lot of planning though. I like the last picture where the father is kinda saying (by his posing), the nursery is over here if you dare.
