Default cool pics of a toad i found in the pond

found another bull frog but was not very friendly and then i found this toad and got some nice shots as the sun started it way down

looks like a woodhouses toad but not totally sure.

bite?? i dont understand what you mean? i hold them by their pelvic area where the body meets the legs, and i've never heard of bull frog biting(LOL)

It's not a Fowler's Toad (woodhouse subspecies), it's not an Eastern Spadefoot, it doesn't appear to be an Eastern American Toad. Can't imagine what else it could be though. The snout is bizarre though. Was that flat "ridge" across the jaw hard/bony?

i hear them all calling like crazy right now in the pond, i found a bunch of them calling, and tons of bull frog (small ones thou) and two big ones i think its a whole little family, ahh couldn't catch any they are in these really hard to get to hides behind rocks, but i believe it was hard yes i was petting its face being nice to my fellow frog cousins

ahh just did some searches for ohio toads and frogs, and had some calling samples and its 100% an Eastern American Toad " Bufo americanus "

Lots of those around here. They are neat at first, but the call gets annoying in the evenings most days in spring.

I have a 3 and a half acre pond.I caught 30 baby toads,a painted turtle and a 7 in bull frog.

thank you,i caught about 100 tadpoles that were in a puddle in the yard next to mine, i rescued them and put them in a 10 gallon tank then when they get some size im going to put them in the pond, the puddle dries out quickly, then refills when it rains again, there were tons of tadpoles im gonna check again tonight to see if there are any more to rescue

I just let go 2 huge bull frogs,I am keeping a gigantic bull frog tadpole I caught with a net.I also saw a bunch of little toads,a gigantic toad,and a black water snake.
