Default My Exo-Terra First Vivarium Build...LOTSA PICS

So this is my first vivarium, I basically got into the hobby from seeing another persons tank. I am a saltwater aquarium enthusiast, and was checking out someones thread on a saltwater site...basically as I was looking through it he had thrown in a pic of a vivarium with some PDF's in it. My first thought as "WHAT THE F...You CAN ACTUALLY KEEP THOSE". Then my second thought was "how". I've spent the past two months reading through the internet about all the basics and such and even bought a very basic book to familiarize myself with everything. The rest is history...

Here are the pics of my progress...besides a few minor "touch-up" details...this is pretty much the finished product..

First thing are plants, then about a month or two later, frogs...

Looks great so far. I got into the hobby(Actually, going to setup my first viv VERY soon) the EXACT way you did. And I'm also into Reef tanks too. Are you a member on RC? What's you Username?

looks great! love the rocks and the moss placement

may i suggest something along the lines of leaf litter for the front? small substrate has a habit of sticking to frogs when its moist and it can be irritating for them

Where is the water draining/recycling for the waterfall?

It looks fantastic. The false bottom looked like it would be way too deep in the first picture, but it looks great in the finished product. The water feature is really neat, especially the way the rocks are angled to control the waterfall.
