Default F2 Chiriqui River froglet

Nothing earth shattering but since you don't see many F2 or higher pumilio offspring, thought I'd post this photo of the little one. His/her parents are F1 D. pumilio 'Chiriqui River' purchased from Thomas Villegas at NWFF 2006. They decided to raise this little guy in a film cannister (a sibling is in an adjacent brom). Enjoy.

Bill

Those iridophores remind me of the flecks of glitter used in various rubber bait critters -- I played with those so much when I was a kid. But none of them were nearly this cute! Great froglet, Bill!

Best,
Ash

ill try my best aslo to tell what F# means
F# can mean two things first it can mean how far along in a blood line it is meaning breed to it brother and there children and so far down. however thats not how we use it on the boards im pretty sure.

the way we use it is generation removed from the wild. its starts with WC and when WC are bread together they make F1 (first gen removed from the wild). When F1 are bread there babys are then F2 (second gen removed from the wild)
F2 make F3 and then F3 make F4.... ive never seenpast F3 to tell the truth after F3 most people stop keeping track of there generation.
reson F1 are better than F2 is because we beleave they will look the most like a wild frog (less color alteration)

i hope this helps
-John

P.S. sorry for the miss spelling no spell check on this P.C.

I see. I just actually bought a trio of rios from a shipment - therefore the clutches from them are F1's.

Thanks for the clarification

It also means how much they are bred within the same bloodline.
