Default Spanish Moss in the viv?

Has anyone ever used Spanish Moss in their viv? I never thought about using it. Are there any toxic concerns?
Thanks!
Mike

Mike,
it's not an issue of toxicity to be concerned about, provided you get it from a clean source.
You want to be very careful as some people have had frogs get tangled in it.
It is very pretty, but I don't think I could risk it.

Well, I think it would look nice, but I would never use it with animals.
I heard a story of someone who had a viv, with tincs (I think) and spanish moss. Well one day the keeper noticed the frog trying to spit something out. Turns out, by the time it was noticed it was hanging out both ends of the frog, which later died.
Don't know the people, never tried it myself, just telling you what I heard.

The first reply is true and I can cite the reference, the second is urban myth.

Best,

Chuck
