Default new 20 gal viv

I finally got everything I needed, and put my new viv together. This is my first one, so I'm sure it could be improved, but I'm pretty happy with it right now. I foresee a lot of trimming in my future...

I haven't put any animals in there yet. I'm going to let the plants settle in for at least a week before I introduce the toads. Gives the plants a chance to root, and me a chance to change my mind.

Btw, you can't see it very well in this pic, but there's a cave for them on the left hand side.

That is an awesome cryptanthus! Salamanders would look really good in that

That looks great. I would agree about the salamanders looking good in it. I never kept salamanders but I always wanted to, lol.

I'm putting fire bellied toads in it. They're the only amphibians I have at the moment, but I'd like to add more.

I've never had much luck with salamanders, but I've done a lot of studying since I had them last. I might give them another shot in the future.

The cryptanthus actually changed my plan for the viv. I had it all planned out, but I saw that at the store and just HAD to get it. I don't really like the way the fern is falling over it, but that might change after the fern has recovered from the transplant. Both ferns were in the same pot, so splitting them made them droop a little, but they're already perking up again.
