Default My Son's Christmas present

I built this Viv for my son for Christmas. I didn't have time for a construction journal. I had to work on it every nite after he was in bed, for about 2 weeks. I was going to wait to take pics of it after I got more plants, but the froggie was posin for me so I had to go ahead and take a few now. Here you go.

It has 2 waterfalls, and in the future a fogger and a few other goodies.

Ah, that's GREAT!!!!!!!!

I share the hobby with my son as well. Actually, he started into it then I got interested in it because of him.

I did a thread awhile back about people on here (DB) sharing this hobby with their son or daughter. Folks on here posted some REALLY nice stories about sharing their hobby. Come to think of it, I'm gone dig that thread back up and "bump" it so that some of the new folks can add to it!

Thanks guy for sharing that Christmas gift. I hope your son appreciates it and understands how meaningful it really is, not only for the hard work and efforts you put into it, BUT the responsibility that goes with it, the understanding of conservation, etc......

Cool!!!!

The fern looks like what is called a lemon button fern. They are pretty easy to find, sometimes the local Lowes has some in stock so you might try there or at Home Depot.

Great present, I am sure your son loved it and the frog!

Thanks I appreciate it! Yes, the one fern is a lemon button fern, (on the bottom). I don't recall what the other fern is. I did purchase both of them at Lowes also like "nburns" said. I hope to have some more plants in there soon.
