No they didn't. I have my personal collection growing outside under screen houses and whatnot and some in full sun. These little guys just sleep in the axils. There are tons of these guys around here.

Yeah they are checked. Like I said though, this is my personal stuff. The stuff I sell I keep inside a screened porch out of the elements.

I think they are little Cuban Treefrogs.
