Default My 1st viv planted.

Its been a little over a month since iv planted and i think ill let it grow for another month before adding any frogs. I'm thinking 3 Azureus should be ok for this size tank. Originally I had a Coco Hut but decided to remove it, is that going to be an issue for the frogs if they dont have one?

Shouldn't be an issue, but my Azureus does make use of hiding places. So as long as you have some nooks and crannies for hiding or especially to sleep, you'll be fine.

There are a good amount of hiding spots. Under the large piece of drift wood is a mini pvc pipe "cave" and the entire area under there is pretty much hidden.

Love it! Very, very nice.

Please keep an eye on your 3 Azureus. Look for any signs of bullying such as one frog not eating as much or losing weight. They can be aggressive little boogers. Particularly female on female.

Are you getting froglets or adults? If froglets, they should be ok but look for possible issues as they mature. If you are getting adults, I recommend getting a known male/female pair rather than 3.

Ill be getting froglets raised together in hopes that i wont have to worry about aggression. Also hoping i will get a 2:1 ratio. But i guess its a good idea to have a small 10g tank ready to go in case I have to remove one?

Couple questions:

1. My Humidity in the tank is pretty much above 90% most of the time, is that to high?

2. Where is the best place to store Fruit Flies?

Thanks!

Humidity is good. Just look at my signature

Is there any ventilation? I ventilate my tanks. Some folks don't. The choice is yours. However, I worry about temperatures in tanks with no ventilation and bright lighting.

I have turned my master bedroom suite into my frog room. So my flies have the walk in closet. Lots of shelving in there and it gets ambient light with the door open. Some folks use various closets in their homes. Some set up shelving for flies in their frog room. Wherever you set it up, keep in mind that there will be mites and there will be escapes.
