Default While I was at IAD my retics decided to

I'm always glad to see more of these guys make it to more hobbyists. There were no Retics available at IAD other than BlackJungle and a few adults here and there.

Aw Bill, it wasn't enough to make me jealous by going to IAD, you had to have your retics lay for you as well!

This is one of those interesting phonemena of IAD (and other shows). You never know what is going to be "hot" from year to year.

I was pretty much the only seller of Vents for a looong time. Some years I couldn't sell them at all, some years they'd be gone 20 minutes after we opened!

Retics not being available is an example of the frog that was everywhere a year or two ago - and nowhere this year. I hadn't even thought of it till you mentioned it.

Must have been in the air....

My retics laid three eggs while I was at IAD - whether they are viable or not remains to be seen (keeping my fingers crossed).

And the "non-breeding" vittatus group that was the subject of conversation between Mike Shrom and I also proved me wrong - first 2 clutches in different film canisters (14 and 17 eggs each).

Scott, I noticed the same thing. More retics last year at IAD, but also more vitatus. Also, this year was more intermedius than last.

Dave -

Nice hanging out with you as well. Let's aim at practicing staying up a little longer for next year though  And congrats on the bull frog (oh, sorry cobalt) eggs.

Well the little tad hatched tonight and looks good....but before I start congratulating myself I have to find where the parents are hiding eggs on me....I see lots of courting activity but no eggs in the film cannisters now.
LOL.

Bill
