Default 40 gal pumilio viv

Hey everyone,

This is my forty gallon breeder that will be housing a pumilio trio. Its currently covered by saran wrap, as my glass top will arrive tomorrow. It will be hooked up with two single mistaking nozzles, one on each side.

I'm planning to make my vent by cutting out a portion of the translucent plastic part of the canopy. I will then most likely silicone in a strip of air conditioning filter. Hopefully I can get the nozzles in the sides of the plastic as well.

Gna use 2 JD LEDs and 2 cfl

I'm also getting another large piece of driftwood tomorrow that will act as a centerpiece. I prob need some more foliage also.

thanks for viewing!!!

opinions and suggestions are more than welcome

It will depend on your experience level with other darts. But, since your asking, and I note the length of tiem you've been on DB and yoru post count, your fairly new to darts. Theres no reason not to start with Pums, but I would recomend some of the easier larger Pums to start with. El dorado's are one of the easiest to keep, very bold and easy to breed. Other good ones would be Cristobals, Almirante, Mancreek, or maybe even Basti's. Stay away from Escudo, Ryan, esperanza Rio Branco, and all the other tinier Pums for now.

I have experience with tincs and thumbnails, but I was considering either a trio of critobals, almirantes, cuacheros, or vultures

In my experience, of the ones you listed, Cristobals are the boldest.

Would you recommend steering away from caucheros?

Did they make being a member of DB a requirement of owning PDFs? The members of DB the only ones in the Hobby? Time on DB is not an indicator of Experience. And post count isn't either.
I entered the Dart frog hobby late 80s early 90s and Chuck Powell was already around. On hear Chuck Powell only has few hundred posts in 9 years. Is he an amateur?

I understand where you're coming from, but I think he was just letting the OP know that his comment was based on the OP's time on the board and post count because that was pretty much all he had to go on. I know we're not supposed to assume...but if you look at previous posts, the OP's first viv was only completed in March, so I think it's a fairly safe assumption which can always be corrected if wrong.

I'd suggest Cristobals or Basti, both are quite bold. Cauchero hide a little bit more but not as reclusive as some.
