Default How to get a day gecko out from behind a background

Hi,

I have my pair of Gold Dust Day Geckos in an 18x18x24 exo terra, and realized today that I haven't seen the female in a while so I went on a hunt for her in the tank. Of course, the first place I thought to look was behind the background because I know they like to hide back there. Sure enough, she's back there. I don't want to take the background out because the tank is pretty heavily decorated with bamboo and taking it out would be a pain, plus, I don't want her to escape in the process. Any ideas as far as how to get her out of there? Maybe flooding behind it with water?

Thanks

I'd just wait till she comes out on her own. If she got in she should be able to get out.
When she does, try to seal off the background, you could use sphagnum moss to plug up the point of entry.
Groundhog likes this.
