I'm fired up as well for baseball. Seattle and Atlanta Are my top 2 favorites. Yankees and L.A. are tied for my third favorite pick. These 4 teams have always been my top 4 ever since I was 8. Sometimes they rotate positions as far as my personal favorites, depending on the season, new draft picks, or for whatever reason. But to this day, I always have had these 4 favorite teams that I follow every season.

Lets play ball!

Tanaka wasn`t sharp but he hasn`t pitched in 8 months

Man I hope so... But for our Yakees, Sir Didi is as good of a replacement for Jeter that we could get though. He has done great for the Yanks, and will continue to be a huge threat to anyone who takes his position lightly. But I really hope Masahiro stays healthy.

That's what I was so afraid of. it was almost an epidemic last season because so many players in the MLB had the surgery done. We'll have too wait and see what happens this year though.

It's how he pitched all Spring long. He's holding back trying to not have the surgery.

Sort of a Catch 22 going here. He won't be the same pitcher till he has the surgery. If he has the surgery, it will be 14 months till he gets back to what he was, IF he gets back to what he was.

Not a fun choice.

The worrisome part with these kind of surgeries for me, starts with a player being pressured by the ball club, the fans, the coaches (pitching coaches in this case probably), the league, themselves (etc.) to have an unnaturally fast recovery, and to once again be able to compete amungst the elite upon return. So a lot of these athletes who become injured, are choosing to utilize HGH to help aid in a faster recovery during surgeries which to me, has always seemed like a gateway for other types of steroid suplimentation, resulting in a huge mess eventually. With the huge controversy of today regarding supplementation during athletic competition, weather it be anabolic steroids, hgh, trt etc. I always tend to worry about my top guys whenever they experience an injury.

Hopefully the new rule to make pitchers work faster will speed things up. Watching a fast pitcher like RA Dickey makes the game way more exciting.

As every year, I hoping for an LA freeway World Series. But kinda want to see padres win NL west too. Lived in Bay Area in '89 and that battle of the bay was richter!

Tony Gwynn was the class act of MLB.

I went to the World Series when the Yankees played San Diego, one of the biggest thrills for me that night was seeing him.
If everyone in baseball was like him it would be a much better game

By the way, I`m one of the rare Yankee fans that doesn`t hate the Red Sox or Mets.

I just enjoy the game. I`m showing my age a bit here, my father took me to my first game in the 60`s.

Ever see The Sandlot? That was my childhood.

I know it! I can't wait for this game! With the red sox already having one game over the Yankees (opening day) I'm hoping the Yankees move up, out of 4th, and knock the sox out of the 2nd spot in the AL. It's a new season still, but im already looking at rankings! Lol! I love this game!

That Yankees vs. Redsox game yesterday!!! it was such a stretched out game! Hopefully they can win at least one of three against the sox today. Hopefully seattle can get a win in today. I wonder who will move up today between L.A and Arizona. Both are currently 2-2. Atlanta is off to a great start this year! Leading the NL with 4-0 as of today. They go to war with the Mets today as well.
So happy for baseball!

The Atlanta Braves actually beat the New York Mets today 5-3, and they are now 5-0. And the Colorado Rockies are currently losing to the Chicago Cubs 8-3 in the bottom of the 6th.

The O's! Man, they have always been a terror for any team in the AL. Back in the 80's and 90's, Cal Ripken Jr. was one of my all time favorite guys to swing the bat. I loved watching him play.
