Default Anyone breeding geosesarma?

I'm just wondering how many of you are raising and breeding geosesarma now. It seems like offspring were offered from time to time up until a few years ago. Thought I may get into raising some of these guys if I can find a captive bred source.

Though I would hardly say that I'm "breeding" them, I did just get my first hatch from a year old purple group. They do seem to be very scarce between importations.

Additionally for anyone that has bred them successfully, how soon after hatching can the juvenile crabs be safely removed? I'm really concerned about the adults cannibalizing the young, as their viv is fairly small.

I just got a group from Ron at frogday, love seeing them scurry around my orchid tanks. I have G. dennerle, but would like to find some "red devils" or mandirins, or any other species in that matter. From what I hear the best way to raise up young is to remove the female before see releases the young if you notice she is carrying, other than that I don't see why you couldn't remove babies asap if you don't think you going to damage them into something rich with springtails.

I have an extra 4-5 that will be large enough to sell in about a month. Have never tried shipping them, but I have a great record when it comes to shipping frogs.

Would anyone be interested in trading juvies to maintain breeding stock genetic diversity?
