Default Auratus stop eating when they are full

My 3 Auratus (about 2 years old) are quite active, were recently breeding like rabbits (until I moved them to their new tank), and have never shown signs of a problem. In general, they seem perfectly healthy.

The thing I find odd about them is that they just don't consume flies like vacuum cleaners. I frequently hear discussions about obese frogs, and that frogs will eat as long as food is available.

However, my 3 have never been like that. They eat or forage for food, but then go into their hiding places to rest with significant amounts of food remaining (if I dump in a greater number of flies). I feel like I couldn't make them obese if I tried. The male is the "skinniest", per se, because he isn't carrying eggs all the time like the females are.

If you guys want pictures, I can post some, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.

That's certainly a factor. Chasing and egg laying takes energy. My breeding imis aren't food restricted, and they stay pretty slim-ish. I do have a female by herself in a holding tank, and she's getting pudgy.

Like people, I would assume that there is a range of eating habits vs weight gain in frogs. I've noticed this in other herps -- some need to be limited as to how much I offer them to eat, and some stay slim on a very generous diet.
I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain'd.
