Default School Vivarium Project

Hello Everyone,

I just found out today that the University I attend is going to allow me to set up a dart vivarium in the zoology lab. I know this is a bit far fetched, but this will be used for research, etc, and the school doesn't plan on funding very much :? . I am not really asking for handouts, but if anyone has any spare supplies, etc lying around that I may be in need of, let me know, and we can work something out . Here is what I will be needing:

Lighting
pump
Cork bark
plants maybe?? Alocasia, broms, etc
Frogs - I was thinking leucomela's would be the best for something like this. Nice, bold, and people will be able to enjoy them, and they are not too expensive.
Anything else I can't think of

This will be an 80 gallon viv, so I have plenty of room to work with. Thanks for all the previous help anyone has given me, and take care all,

ed parker

if you have any signage on or around your viv, you should post a link to Dendro board or something, might spark more intrest in the hobby, frogs, and rainforrest ecology in general. Wish i could send you something to help out, but i just finished a viv a couple weeks ago that took pretty much everything i had. I only really bought the tank just cuz i had enough stuff for one more viv lying around
