Default Making jungle vines, would these bungee cords work?

Hello,
So I had my carpets out to be cleaned due to a freak Skunk sprayed my dog incident. (so much fun.. ugh.. )

Long story short, they returned my carpets with several strips of bungee cord tied up holding the rolls together.

My creative mind thought.. hey.. I need to make some jungle vines in my vivarium.. and I have seen how it can be done with rope + silicone + coco fiber etc...

Would these bungee cords be OK to use in the same way?

I've used those for their intended purpose, and they have a very short lifespan outside (months, at most).

Even climbing ropes that are treated to be UV- and water-repellent are not to be kept constantly moist.

I was thinking it may be a little too... Plastic for this use case.. I may just stick with a more natural fiber rope

I wouldn't use bungie cords. The latex fibers will rot pretty quickly.
