Default How bold are amazonicus?

I'm getting two of them (maybe more in the spring) and I want to know how bold they will be? They will be in a heavily planted thirty hex.

My personal experience is that they are extremely shy as froglets and into sub-adults. However, they do bold up when they reach maturity. I have a group of 5 and sometimes they are all hiding, but often they are right out in the open. They don't seem too concerned if I am there staring at them and do not even dart away when feeding or removing eggs.

I think it's one of those species that varies widely between people and their set-up. I rank mine as slightly-bold while others will voice a difference opinion.

They remain one of my all time favorite species and they will always have a place in my collection.

Mine are very shy compaired to other 'thubs'. During ' breeding season' they're out in the open, but otherwise I don't see them. Opening the viv they run away in hiding.
Having said this, I must say I do have a lot of fun with them. Breeding for instance; thet breed like chickens we say over here.
greetings, Ron

I would definitely say that they are bold frogs. Out of the five i have i can always see at least two. I noticed in the early morning well into the after noon they are all out and about. And when they are feeling shy they stick close to their favorite hiding place darting out and back in every so often.
