Default Problem dosing vitamins

I have a problem dosing vits. My frogs live in a large vivarium (90x45x90). A lot of times they doesnt eat when I drop flies or aphids, becasuse there are a lots of bugs living in the viv (flies, aphids, springtails), because they cant catch all of them when I feed. In result they can eat when they wants to do, not when I feed.

Whats the problem? the vits. If they arent eaten, the Bugs removes vits from theirs bodies in a short time . I try to drop bugs over the frogs places, but my 4 auzerues are never together, and is impossible to me to feed separately (sometimes i cant find all of them)
In the other hand, frogs prefer to eat "clean" bugs, seems that they doenst like vits... (for example one of my azus, never eat dusted bugs)

Is possible to dose vits in another way??

I am experiencing something similar. It would be nice if someone with more experience could give us some advice.

Investigate oxidation, external dates and consideration of exposure to dampness or temperatures.

Dampness, repetitive and frequent, can be a simple factor of task sequence, so go over how they are handled, note fingers. Do they contact water beforhand? Oh, and follow your nose. A sharp metallic odor is not ideal.

I have noticed anurans and other small herps spit out and then learn to refuse feeders with stale supplement, and then resume more familiar eagerness with lightly supplemented fresh supplement.

The Key Word Is Lightly.

I dont know if this is what is happening in your case but Ive known it to happen, and fielded countless, about animals refusing coated feeders.

Some advice will say only "Keep Feeding" but a complete address of the presented reluctance must include the quality/oxidation character of the supplement, with some animals.

Ive known frogs with quite the food item memory.

Applying feeding stations can distract from 'some' grooming. Its good in other ways too, and can be done lots of interesting ways

How often do you feed FFs?

Have you tried withholding food for a week (or two, or three, if they really are scavenging that much) to see if they eat the FFs better?

Start training them to forage after misting, around the same time of day, and feed in the same place. I only feed immediately after the morning misting cycle (30 seconds). After a week or two, your frogs will be waiting for food as soon as it stops "raining."

I have been having the same problem. I have three young azureus - maybe 4 months old so I don't think I can go 2-3 weeks without feeding them to spark them into eating as soon as I dump the flies in. Currently, they forage on their own time. I add flies at the same time each day that I feed. None of the frogs come out to eat. The next day, there are almost no flies left but I never the frogs eating. I am also worried that they are not getting the supplements needed.

Some frogs won't eat if there is any action outside the viv. Feed them and then leave the room. Check back later.

It may be that you are feeding too often, or feeding too many FFs at once (you say there are almost no flies left the next day -- there really shouldn't be any left after a day).

Looking through your posts, it seems you've had your frogs only a week or two. Likely they're still settling in.

Do make sure viv parameters are in line (misting, temps, ventilation, etc), too.
