Default feeding trouble

one of my FG vents wants food and i give him food, but when the food passes by he points his head down as if to eat it and then just watches it go by.

I even slowed the flies down by putting them in the fridge for a little bit.

He wants the food but he also doesnt seem to be able to judge distance from fly to tounge

the other one is fat and i have seen her able to eat them?

I need to do something quick.

The head down posture is a response to a percieved threat... there is something stressing out the frog.
Try a smaller food item.

A phrase you never want to hear;
"It seemed like a good idea at the time."
