Default Photos Not Uploading

I just uploaded a pair of photos, and they don't seem to have gone through correctly. All I'm seeing is one image saying, "no thumbnail," and another image that doesn't remotely resemble what I uploaded.

When I finished my upload, I got a message saying they were successfully uploaded, and then I was routed to my gallery, where the new images should have been. When I click on these, they just reload the gallery without any text near any of the photos, and I also have no tools to edit or delete these wonky images.

I also noticed recently that several of my old photos have now tilted to the wrong orientation, and they weren't like that before. Is there some overhaul taking place that's having technical difficulties?

Just to update this, I can no longer get cropped or resized photos to upload. They're the ones that were giving me trouble, though I've never had this issue in the past. I don't want to have to use only the enormous, original file size every time, so I hope something is done about it.

I'm using Chrome on a Windows PC.

I ran into the same situation about a year ago. I followed the instructions provided in the beginner stickied thread about uploading photos to a DB gallery to a T, and had the oversized photos posted with no ability to alter them. I'm building a frog room and want to document it for others but don't want to bother if it's cumbersome to view.

Thanks for your response, varanoid. It's just strange; I've been uploading photos on here the same way for years without problems, and suddenly, it doesn't want to cooperate. I'll check the beginner sticky on it again, but for now, I'm pretty puzzled about it. I'm not using an external image host, just direct to DB, and it always worked before.

I've noticed a few things on the site have changed, too. The old method for embedding video no longer works. Now, you just add the link to the video, where before, you had to use brackets to do it.

I was uploading my pre-altered photos, which I had cropped and resized in Microsoft Office Picture Manager before uploading, which always used to work. For some reason, they simply won't upload anymore. Software incompatibility, perhaps?

Hello,

Are you using Go Advanced > Paper Clip Icon > Attach?

That should work.
