Default terribilis mint froglet missing one of his backleggs

One of my Terribilis mint tadpoles only developed 3 leggs so i had to let i go. Unfortunatly sometimes this is also part of the hobby... I wanted to share this picture.

I'm sorry you had to do that. Might seem like one of those questions but why did you have to let it go? Can't it live within reason with three limbs?

A front legg missing would be less of a problem for the frog. I probably could have kept it "alive" for a few years, but i don't think this is the humane thing to do.

It's a tough call and one that I am glad that I have not had to make myself yet. But weird things can happen during metamorphosis that are beyond our control as hobbyists.
